WHY SOCCER IS NOT FOR FOOLS

Game of soccer is the most popular sport in our part of the world. Through football, my country, Nigeria, is celebrated around the world.
Many great guys have emerged socialites from playing soccer and many have turned the destinies of their families around for good.

Football, as interesting as it is, would have been a game of idiots had it been there were no goalposts. It would have been pathetic to see twenty-two adults running after a round-leather had it been there was no prize to covet.

Every new day, most people make fortunes from watching, playing, analyzing, managing, reporting, supporting and propagating soccer. Most lives were revived and joy restored by watching the game.

The lesson I learnt is that;

1.     Your venture can either be interesting or boring but the outcome depends on you as the key player.
2.    Your profession can be as lucrative as you want.
3.    You should set a goal for your life, family and business – or else, the running around will be futile and fruitless.
4.    Map out a reward schemes for yourself and the members of your team.

To be a great player;

a)    Think of a way to make your business (or whatever goal) entertaining
NB: Entertainment is the ability to keep the people attentive and yearning for more.

b)   Think of a way to convert your venture into a cash cow

c)    Map out the daily goals, weekly goals, monthly goals and the yearly goals you want to achieve.

NB: The daily goals must be able to flow into weekly goals and your monthly goals should incorporate your yearly goals.
Map a plan for at least 5 years of continuous activities.
Also, before sleeping tonight, make sure you write down what to do tomorrow – but make sure they are achievable goals. Factor in every impediment such as traffic gridlock. Don’t say, ‘Meet Sandra in Ajah 10 am and inspect Alex’s goods at Badagry warehouse by 1 pm.’ Consider all limiting factors.

d)   Always ask yourself the following questions:
What have I gained today?
What’s in it for me?
What will it benefit my team mates?
What will it benefit our patrons and the society at large?
