LEARN THE TRICKS OF ONE SECOND AND ACHIEVE MORE PER DAY

1.       Time is an asset; don’t waste it! God gives to every mankind, 86,400 seconds on a daily basis. What we do with each second determines what we get at the end of the day.
60 wasted seconds is a wasted minute.
60 minutes wasted is an hour squandered.
24 hours misspent is a fruitless day.

2.      Create a Time-table: Instead of waiting for things to fall in place on their own accord, you will do well if you time yourself on a daily basis. Schedule your time, and stick to it not as a routine but as a guideline.
Cultivate the habit of planning your days on the paper so that it can be joyfully invested instead of being spent.

3.      Think: Use your leisure time in creative thinking and do not worry yourself over what is not working.

4.      Evaluate yourself: Make it a duty to evaluate your daily activities before going to bed at night so that you can be able to guard against time-thieves and avoid all unnecessary leakages.
Always ask yourself this simple question before going to bed, “What have I gained today?”

5 Things We Ignorantly Avoid and Pay Dearly For

Some people do not even realise how stupid they are becoming when they begin to run their races with other people’s strengths.  They simply drift into foolishness without knowing.
When we focus our strengths and thinking on ungodly comparisons – using other people’s yardsticks as a determining factor for our successes; we are doomed to fail.
When we are fond of waiting for other people’s opinions before crossing our marks; we are wallowing in failure.
Comparison is a big trap we hardly realise until we discover we have left many things undone that the people we are trying to be like had done.

To escape the trap of ungodly comparison; adopt these 5 simple steps:

1.     Be transparent; you are who you are and the best you can be is yourself. God uniquely wired you and that’s why you are called an individual. All other allusions are illusions ... lying to oneself. Your dream is your dream. Even though, you are running the same type of business like others but your vision aren’t the same. So, be unique in your own unique way.

2.     Exchange ideas with the people of like minds and openly admit what you do not know instead of struggling.

3.     Sharpen your strengths: Instead of trying to be good at everything; wasting monies, time and efforts in polishing your weaknesses, simply admit it and concentrate on your strengths (or abilities).

4.      Be focused! Stop trying to jog six balls, panicking over losing all. Concentrate on one ball and jog it perfectly. There are many other guys out there who do not even have a single ball to jog, give them the extra. Life is all about give-and-take. God did not create you to be everybody; He wants you to be somebody.

5.    Realign your mindset: Though, you are ordinary but you can make extraordinary mark in small things than losing all the big things. You can be a great sergeant instead of being a stupid general.

To Achieve Your Goals; Keep Your Hopes Alive

Is year 2016 not your much awaited year?
Why must you now give-up on your goals when the year hasn’t ended?
Press-on towards achieving them!

If your goals for the year are SMART GOALS ...
Specific – Precise and definite
Measurable – Reasonable and quantifiable
Action-oriented – Pursued
Realistic – Sensible and practical.
Timely – Stipulated for achievement within a time-frame

Then, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5,6

As humans, it is easy for us to ask God to bless what we do but it will be better if we will discover what God blesses and dedicate ourselves to doing it. At that point, we do not need to struggle for goodness and mercy, they are already ours, following us all through the year.

Let’s get down to the brass tack; many of us did not know that January was named after a Roman god called Janus who was said to have two heads – one facing the front and the other looking backward.

And that is a reflection of our lives … some of us cannot stop reminiscing on the goodness of 2015 whilst some of us would want to forget the year because of the inevitable tribulations and accidents experienced in the year.

Whichever way, I have good news for you; God says, “Do not [earnestly] remember the former things, neither consider the things of old.  Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it?” (Isaiah 43: 18,19).

Therefore, if you have been battered and bruised last year, God has now begun something great in your life and if He had been so good to you last year, expect better and greater miracles.
How? Pray as if it all depends on God and work harder as if it all depends on you because my Bible says, Faith without work is dead; and as you continue in the habit of hard work, smart thinking and specific prayers, God will make you into a Star that will not struggle to shine, a River that will never struggle to flow, and a Chameleon that won’t beg for beauty and survival.

Hear this! God says the word ‘struggle’ has ceased in your life.
Do not doubt God! His obsession is to be believed; His pain is to be doubted. That's why He says inquisitively in Jeremiah 32:27, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is there anything too hard for me?”
You need to answer that question in order to build your confidence.

Jesus once said to His disciples in Mark 4:35: “Let us go over to the other side.” He stayed in the yacht with them but he was resting – taking a nap when the storm arose, the disciples were sore afraid, ran to Him, asked, “Care not that we perish?
Jesus, Who truly cares, got up from his sleep, left his cabin, rebuked the storm sharply and it ceased! He then called the disciples ‘O’ ye of little faith.’

At exactly 12 midnight on the 31st day of December 2015, we all crossed over to 2016 by the grace of the Living God.  You prayed, raised your hope, and believed in the prophetic utterances and the watchword for the year. Is your hope still alive?
Though, there have been contrary wind blowing since 2016 began – all I am saying is, once you are making your journey with Jesus, He will neither leave nor forsake you.

To achieve these goals of yours, keep your hopes alive;
Trust God wholeheartedly. Engage the Holy Ghost. Pray ceaselessly and praise God tirelessly.
Also; Look within yourself to bring out the best deposit in you. All you need to become all that God created you to be is already in you. Don’t be distracted through ungodly comparison and covetousness. You are who you are and you can only be the BEST by recognising God’s deposit in you. Stop looking for nuggets elsewhere; you are the shining element the world needs. What makes an orange a vine is not in the bushel, it’s been saved in the seeds since inception. That’s why we can count the number of seeds in an orange but only God can count the number of oranges in a seed.

You are a seed; be committed to God’s goal for your life. Nobody can say how far you can go until you have taken the first step. The only impediments to reaching your goals are ‘your thinking and you,’ but you’ve got to remind yourself or whatever storms whose and who you are.

Don’t forget; 2016 is a Year of Supernatural Advancements. You may be reaching the last quarter in a few days time but God hasn’t forgotten His promises towards you. Go full throttle ... I wish you a glorious sail throughout the year ... Soar like an eagle. God bless!

HOW TO AVOID SELF-LIMITATIONS AND EXPAND YOUR VIEW ABOUT LIFE

Many people are growing up without maturing. They are going extra miles without making headway. Their problem is that they box God in a cage and limit His power to work wonders in them.
God, from the Bible days, have appeared to ordinary people and turn them into extraordinary beings.

There are times I also belittle myself, For example, when I was to launch out in ministry, I kept telling myself what of if nobody wants to listen to me.

There are times when the Holy Spirit would be prompting us do some great and mighty works but we would be considering our qualifications, our class or standard – and by thinking as such; we defeat ourselves without taking up the challenges.

To overcome self limitations; follow God’s leading - however, whenever and whichever – until your good becomes better and your better becomes best.

Why? You carry the breath of God in you and His Spirit of creativity dwells within you.

There is this great potential in every creature of God. No other hearts beat like yours. There is no other fingerprint like yours. God crafted you as best as you should be. God planned your life for His purpose; you only need to appreciate God’s gifting in your life and trade with your talents.
For as long as you don’t use your fan as a video set and nobody uses the radio set as a stove. God cannot make a mistake about you. You are not an accident. Discover yourself and launch out fully.

Move! If you’ll make a move, God will turn the ordinary you into an extraordinary being. Everybody – including you – is born natural; we become supernatural by the things we do regularly and when God adds His value to our productivities, nothing can stop us.

From henceforth, keep on moving ... if you cannot fly, run. If you can’t run, walk. If you can’t walk, crawl. Just make sure you are always on the move to realising your dreams. Cheers!

Is This Not The End of My Marriage?

Can somebody please look into my plight and talk to me; if I’m wrong, castigate me and if I am right, vindicate me? My reason for writing this mail is not to be justified but to be counsel on how to save my marriage and get my husband back to our matrimonial home so that my three children will once again play and dance with their dad.

My name is Minie Salem, a Christian. I am from the Republic of Niger and my husband, Syl is from Chad. We met ten years ago in Chad and have been married for eight years now. Syl, is an auto repairer and I am a journalist.

My meeting with Syl was miraculous; my friends and I were on sight-seeing in Chad when our car broke down in a dark and raining night – and like an angel, Syl, driving an old Peugeot 505 stopped by to assist. We were so grateful that we visited his auto repair garage the next day, There, our friendship clicked and as we talked, we discovered our common interests.

Syl being a devoted Christian invited us to his church which we attended the following Sunday; his pastor and church members were accommodating and Syl as a praise and worship leader was phenomenal.

To cut the long story short, we have been married since 2007 and we have been blessed with three beautiful children, June (boy 6 years old), and my girls, Joan (4) and Judith (1).

After our wedding, I was able to convince Syl of the prospects in my native country but since we relocated, he is yet to find his footings and more often than not, I have been the one providing a larger percentage of what keeps the family going financially but my hubby is a hardworking man; it’s just that his meager income cannot go round as he wished.

Recently, I got a job with additional benefits but with a heavy toll on the whole family; I have to work longer hours, travel a lot and sometimes, Sunday services would have to be sacrificed for weekend demands.

My children missed the love of their mom – their meals are now quick-fix. My last daughter, Judith, who still suck breast have to wait till I come back before she could balance her daily diets.

Syl has been so supportive – he does most of the house chores; cooking, laundry, taking the children to school, picking them up, and preparing our meals – but as he engages in those activities, his work takes the back seat because of the children’s needs and family pressure.

For a while, we have been planning to leave our apartment for a bigger one in a more civilized environment and recently, I have been able to save enough and raise loans to secure an affordable and beautiful apartment in a more serene community but Syl, after we have moved all our possessions decided not to move with the family. Instead, he rented a room cabin somewhere close to his workshop and there he now bunks.

He has been complaining a lot; either of making him relocate without making proper findings or using him as a baby-sitter. God knows I have only been trying to help. I want better life for the whole family. My belief is that if I should fail to utilize the I now have, I may have myself to blame sometimes in the future.

As a matter of honesty, he still pays the children’s school fees as he’s bent on not changing their schools yet. He still keep tab on the kids and helps with their school works but what baffles me is the fact that he won’t sleep in the apartment I rented and I can’t understand what destructive man’s ego that is.

Truly speaking, I will like to keep my job because it makes me happy and it is a fulfillment of my dreams – it elevates me and enables me do some things I have always desired and sharpens my self-esteem, yet I don’t want to lose my family. Help me friends; what do I do to save my marriage?
